Sonia Murillo grew up moving. Country to country across Central America with her father, absorbing the way different cultures decide what beauty means inside four walls. She arrived in the United States two decades ago and kept moving. Never quite settling, always observing.

Travel kept teaching: a market in Jaipur where cloth moved like weather, a chapel in Rome where the light was the room.

She doesn't decorate spaces. She arranges them to surprise you. A Murillo space doesn't reveal itself all at once. There's a sofa that looks obvious from the door, and then you sit in it and realize the light hits differently here. There's a corner you assumed was just a corner, until you turned and found something worth stopping for.

Her obsessions change: eyes peering from every surface, then an overwhelming abundance of plants, now branches: raw, structural, alive and not. Each era leaves a trace. The vocabulary grows. The rooms get richer.
